Canderel Lifestyle Report
In February 2005 Canderel commissioned the independent research company YouGov to conduct a nationwide report on consumers' attitudes to a wide range of lifestyle issues, from views on diet and exercise to what are the key issues when buying food products. The report findings show that there is still a lot of work to be done if the adoption of a healthy lifestyle is to become a reality for consumers nationwide. Click here to see the full report.
'Tackling Obesity' Labour Party Conference Fringe Event
In 2003, Canderel hosted a 'Tackling Obesity' briefing event for MPs together with the National Obesity Forum (NOF) and Vernon Coaker MP, then co-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Obesity Group. The aim of the briefing was to motivate a joint effort between government, health professionals, the voluntary and private sector to work together in tackling the rise of obesity in the UK.
Sweet Tooth Survey
In autumn 2003, Canderel commissioned a study entitled the Sweet Tooth Survey which was conducted across 11 regions in the UK, observing the population's levels of sugar intake in their everyday diets. The research enabled us to raise awareness of high levels of sugar intake, which can lead to an increase in the cases of obesity and diabetes. This growing problem highlights the importance of a healthy lifestyle, which opens the door for sensible alternatives such as sugar substitutes. Click here to see results of the survey.
