Homemade Lemonade

Makes: 1.75 litres
Preparation time:
15 minutes plus chilling time

What

6 unwaxed lemons
20 tbsp Canderel
1.75 litres of boiled water

How

Wash and scrub the lemons in warm water. Peel all the lemons and place the zest in a bowl. Then remove white pith with a sharp knife to prevent the lemonade tasting bitter.  Squeeze the juice of six lemons. Use a sieve to pour the juice into the same bowl as the zest.
Add the Canderel and stir.  Pour over the boiling water, stir and leave covered overnight or until cool. Use a sieve to separate the juice from the zest.
Place the juice in the fridge and serve chilled in a glass, garnished with a fresh lemon wheel.
